Los Angeles - Waymo has approval for an autonomous vehicle to start driving around Los Angeles. These cars are also known as driverless cars, robo-cars (robotic-cars), or robo-taxis. The cars are capable of traveling without human input and use a combination of sensors, cameras, radar (radio detection and ranging), lidar ( light detection and ranging), and AI (artificial intelligence). Since driverless cars a very new technology that has only rolled out in a few cities, an override function is on them to let a human take control of the vechicle in an emergency.
