Magician Mechanic Motivational Speaker

Los Angeles - 62 year-old Richard Turner is one of the world's greatest card magicians.  When one has the pleasure of meeting Richard Turner, which I have, he will tell you he is a card mechanic.  'He fixes card games.'  In 2017, Turner fooled Penn and Teller with a card trick he did on their television show, Fool Us.  When Richard Turner was 11 years-old he created a puzzle game called "Batty," inspired by the game Tower of Hanoi.  In May 2011 Turner released his fourth version of the game.  At the age of 17 Richard Turner began taking karate lessons. Turner has been a Performing Member at the Magic Castle since 1975.  The Magic Castle is a hotel and nightclub for magicians and magic enthusiasts and is located in Hollywood, CA.  Turner has already been inducted into the Magic Castle's Hall of Fame.  Richard Turner has been honored with many awards, including the Golden Lion Award in Magic, from Siegfried and Roy in 1982 and the Close-Up Magician of the Year award from the Academy of Magical Arts.  Now, semi-retired Richard Turner appears several weeks a year at the Magic Castle.
Though Richard Turner is one of the world's greatest card magicians and, as such, is not allowed  on the card tables of many Las Vegas casinos, Turner is totally blind.  Turner weaves his skill and showmanship into an inspirational story.  Some large corporations use Turner as a motivational speaker.  He is one of the world's greatest motivational speakers. In November 2009 Turner received his Master ranking Sixth Degree Black Belt in Wa Do Kai karate.  Turner is the subject of the feature-length documentary entitled "Dealt" (2017).  "Dealt" traces Richard's life and career as a blind expert card manipulator that is well-known for his card trick performances.  See also, http://www.dealtmovie.com.
